Burns Night Celebration - Whisky Tasting - Friday 27th January, Heswall
Would you like to know the difference between an Isla and a Highland single malt?
Or even what is a single malt for that matter - whether you are a hardened expert or you fancy trying something different
then why not come to the Oval's Whisky Tasting evening at Corks Out,
where resident expert Graham has organised a tour of the Whisky World.
The event takes place at 7.15pm on the 27th January at 53 Telegraph Road, Heswall.
The cost is a remarkably reasonable (just ask anyone who has been to one of the wine tastings) £15 per head including whisky and nibbles.

Pamper evening Tuesday 21st February at "Healthworks", Village Hotel, Bromborough - 5.30pm till 8.30pm
Don't worry if you can't make it at 5.30, just turn up when you can.
Tickets £12 which will include a sample of two of the following treatments (Express facial, Express manicure, Indian head message, Reflexology), a raffle for "ESPA" products or treatments, wine/soft drinks and hot buffet from the hotel restaurant.
£10 of the cost of the ticket will be redeemable on the night for any treatments booked or products purchased.
Places are limited, the last event was oversubscribed for this popular and extremely good value event.

Peerless Brewery Trip 23rd March at Peerless Brewing Co., Birkenhead - 7.00pm onwards
Have you ever wondered how your beer was produced, then come along and enjoy a tour of the Peerless Brewery.
In addition to a tour of the brewery, unlimited beer 'sampling', steak and ale stew supper (veggie option available), you can even get to go behind the bar and pull your own pint!
The Peerless Brewing Co have a choice of styles and alcohol levels to fit all tastes from a 4.1% ABV blond beer to an authentic, cold conditioned 4.8% ABV pilsner style cask lager, and only ever brew with real malt, hops, yeast and water.
This is a working brewery so sensible footwear and warm clothing are required
The event takes place at 7.00pm on Friday the 23rd of March at 'The Brewery' 8 Pool Street, Birkenhead CH41 3NL.
