Social

The Club organise a variety of social events throughout the year for skiers and non-skiers. These events are a great way to get to know other members.

We hold barbecues at the hut to open and close the season, and celebrate Halloween and Christmas with a party during the junior sessions. Discounted trips to Chill Factore in Manchester on New Year’s Day and at other times have proved popular and been thoroughly enjoyed.

Other events include wine tasting, band nights, walks, slope maintenence days, and of course the annual Club skiing holiday.

What happens at the AGM?

The Club belongs to you, the members, and each year you nominate a committee to run and oversee the Club. At the AGM the Chair and Treasurer will present their reports on the last 12 months, including development and any future plans.

This is your chance to question the committee and to put forward suggestions and ideas.

All members of the current committee will stand down and it is up to the AGM to elect a new committee. Some of the current committee may be willing to stand again but we also welcome interest from other club members who wish to get involved. There is plenty of opportunity to be part of the Club. Remember, ‘no volunteers, no Club!’
